This is such a lovely way to enjoy lamb as it is really a lovely combination of flavours and cooks in 15mins. It is so simple to make this meal and makes a great dinner option for the week, weekend or date night at home. With a side of sweet potatoes fries and salad, simple yet full packed full of flavour. I have been obsessed with lamb for a while now and learning how to properly season this meat has cemented it even more. It cooks to easily and can be the star of the meal grilled or in a sauce such as a lovely lamb Balti.
Making it to the second month of 2022 seemed to take forever, but we are here, and it is looking like a very windy and wet one so far. I continue to count down to the end of winter but in the meantime, these lovely meals will keep me company. I am coming up to the 1 year anniversary of starting these blogs and I am hopeful for a more engaging year ahead. Now have a look at the steps below and leave a comment to let me know how it goes.

How to make

For the marinate, mix all the spices and herbs in a bowl including ginger powder, brown sugar, rice/white vinegar, pepper flakes, onion powder, fennel seed, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt & black Pepper to taste in the oil. With a fork or brush the lamb chops with the marinade, both sides. This blend makes the perfect infused meat that literally tempts you to lick the plate, lol. This is the one time; I will say try the exact spices and ingredients listed before making it your own as it is perfect. Set aside and all to marinate for at least 2 hours and overnight for 1 - 2 nights.

Wash, peel and slice your sweet potatoes into thin 1 - 2cm slices and soak in water, If the potato is quiet thick, you have half it short side and then slice or use an axe knife to get through it. Mind you fingers! Now I season my water with chili powder, salt and black pepper, it’s your choice whether or not to do this. Depending on what you plan to make this, drain the potatoes and quote in 1 tablespoon of oil to air fry or roast in the oven for 18 - 20mins at 200 degrees. This gives a crispy exterior and lovely fluffy inside. Alternatively, you can deep fry for around 10mins.

Once cooked or with 12mins to go create space to air fry the lamb chops if there is space. Or simply allow the fries to cook and cook at a lower temperature of 170 degrees for 15mins or grill for 6mins on both times in your oven on medium heat. Whilst cooking the lamb, keep your fires hot in a bowl sealed with foil or in the microwave on a heated plate.

That's it, meal is ready and good to serve with your choice of sides.

As always, I hope you try this out, and let me know in the comments if you do try it.

Enjoy!
