Introduction

2 weeks left of summer already? Well, all I can say it’s been a very typical British summer and hope the last few days have a little less rain before autumn. In true British spirit, we attend a BBQ at our friends whilst it was pouring it down (cats, dogs and all)! This means 2 guys on the BBQ under a brolly and everyone else indoors stuffing their faces ha-ha. It was lovely to see a lot of faces I haven't seen in person in ages! I also got fed lots and my homemade cake went down a treat. Here is another burger recipe to add some spice to your BBQ however it gets made - a indoor or outdoor grill, air fryer or pan fried.

Any excuse to see others and share food is just what I love to do. Filled tummies and hearts are an excellent recipe in my opinion 😄 No matter the weather, spending time with those you love is important and introducing new flavours makes it even better! I use turkey burgers as they fill me up but don't make me feel heavy, but this definitely works with all types of burger patties. Bread buns and some salad you have the basis of your burger. I don't eat cheese but feel free to add this as well as some lovely homemade chips/wedges whatever shape you end up with 😃 Using Spice cartel’s Guacho chimichurri Spice mix this time round for amazing burgers. Very quick to prep and make under the grill or on an outdoor BBQ. Spice cartel brand of chimichurri is a brand I found on Amazon but there are many other options available in stores and online! Enjoy the weather whatever it is and most importantly time with your loved ones.

This tasty Chimichurri Spiced Burgers are great for BBQ season and a welcomed addition of spice to my spice collection. Super quick to prepare as I used already formed burger patties but feel free to make these from scratch. I attended a quintessential British BBQ yesterday - pouring with rain, gloomy but meat grilled under a brolly and those being fed indoors ha-ha! 😊 One of the burger flavours I've discovered recently is this - chimichurri spices which is oh so yummy! One bite and you are sold!

Giving the fluctuation of weather and the actual effort it takes to light a BBQ grill for 2 - I decided to make this using my newly acquired air fryer and they were so good for a sunny weekday dinner! This is one of the other spices from the box of 4 I purchased from Spice cartel's spice mix on Amazon. For BBQs or a weeknight dinner treat, theses spice mixes have allowed me to change up some of the regular meals in my home yet again. Keeping food exciting is key to me and you can use any spices you love or want to try out.

How to make

First marinate your burgers patties, to do this mix the spice with 1 tablespoon of oil in a small bowl. Using a brush spread the spice over all the patties on both sides and around. If you are making your own burger patties, simply grate butter into a medium bowl with the mince and spices. Mix to combine and form into 4 patties of about 3 - 4 inches high. Let it sit to marinate for up to 2 hours or more whilst you prepare any options sides.

For the wedges, slice your potatoes in long medium slices place in a bowl, rinse and drain. In the same bowl coat, the wedges with 1 - 2 tablespoons of oil and sprinkle the seat salt, chives, parsley and optional chilli powder, mix. This can be made by deep frying, in the oven or in the air fryer.

Place your burger patties on the BBQ and flip halfway for about 12mins in total. At the same time deep fry your wedges for 6 - 8mins at 170 degrees c or in the oven at 180 degrees c for 30 - 35mins. Alternatively in your air fryer, pre heat for 2 mins and place your wedges in according to the fries’ settings (190 for about 15 -20mins). With about 10 minutes left on the time, create space on the air fryer plate and cook your burgers. You could wait for the wedge to cook completely and then make your patties for 8 - 10mins.

Whilst these don't need attention, prepare your burger buns, add any desired condiments and salad, stack your burger patty and cover with the top bun once you are happy. I used thousand Island salad dressing as this complimented the chimichurri spice so well. As usual my Amazon list is updated with the essential kitchen equipment mentioned in this recipe.

Enjoy with friends and family outdoors for that wonderful summer feeling! Serve with your desired sides or make loads to come back for more lol!

Enjoy!
